It is our desire to make disciples. We believe that God calls all of his children to participate in disciple-making. It isn’t just for pastors! One of our core values is that we are all ministers. And that looks different for every member of the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13
Youth aren’t the church of the future. Or become the church when they grow up. No, our kids are the church now. We believe in meeting our students where they’re at, discipling them in real-time for real life with God’s truth & love, and calling them to relationship with Jesus, who gives life and brings light to every situation.
Relationship with God goes beyond simply attending Sunday church and checking it off a list. In this fallen world full of sin, trouble, hurt, & fear, we must depend on a personal relationship with God to be spiritually filled and equipped to live daily life with Him. Since He designed us for community, we want to invite you to join a weekly small group in our fellowship hall. Go to Events to get all details or tap the button below to call the study leader, Joe!
The idea was born in 2021. What if we lined Emanuel Street with tables and invited the whole community to join SBC for a free meal? For an opportunity to sit down and build relationships with our neighbors over a delicious plate of food?
In the Spring of 2022, God made it happen. Now for 3 years, our sending church, The River, has collaborated with us to host this event. Together, spurred on by God’s love and provision, we look forward to The Table each year and cherish this opportunity to love on our small town through food & the gospel.
Next Event: 4.26.25
Join our women's bible study group on Sunday mornings before worship service. Led by April, this small group of ladies is currently going through a "Woman of the Bible" study.
Following God’s calling for Men’s Ministry, Joe (elder) hosts annual Men’s Retreats and monthly Men’s Breakfasts on the 2nd Saturday of each month. These gatherings are crafted to encourage men to take time out of their week and purposefully build relationship with God and their fellow Christian men.
